Leading up to the visit to the property, I was impressed by the story of the Israelites’ exploration of the Land in Numbers 13 and 14. Joshua and Caleb’s entreaty to the people are the verses that stick in my head, “The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. 8 If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. 9 Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them.” Numbers 14:7b-9 (NIV)
Having visited the property and heard its history, I can see indeed that it is a land flowing with mink and honey.
